Technical details:

The Leine wave works with the power of the flowing water and a hydraulically controlled system in the Leine. The weir consists of three shovel-like wave bodies made of steel, each about 5m long and 3m wide. To adjust the wave, you only need to adjust the angle of these wave bodies. The three-part division of this system makes it possible to adjust the wave to three different widths. This enables surfing even when there is less water in the Leine.

Recommended surfboard setup:

For this wave we recommend our surfboard model "The Heater" in combination with PVC fins and a small center fin. This setup gives a lot of grip in radical turns. Alternatively we recommend "The Shiner" with PVC fins and a small center fin.

The location:

The Welle is located in the middle of Hanover's historic old town. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes and the vibrant city life, the Leinewelle is the perfect spot to escape the daily grind. The best way to reach the Flusswelle is by bike or tram.
