Technical details:
This wave is a 10m wide, artificial river wave. THE.RIVERWAVE can be adapted to different water levels and surfing levels. With the help of hydraulically movable steel flaps on the ground, the perfect wave can be created at any time. Since the wave depends on the water level of the Traun, the wave shape changes slightly depending on the water level.
Recommended surfboard setup:
For this wave we recommend our surfboard model "The Heater" in combination with PVC fins and a small center fin. This setup gives a lot of grip in radical turns. Alternatively we recommend "The Shiner" with PVC fins and a small center fin.
The location:
The surfing facility is located in Ebensee on Lake Traunsee. On the approximately 4000 square meter site of THE.RIVERWAVE, there is a sunbathing lawn with swimming facilities, a snack bar and various seating areas in addition to the surfing facility. The wave is best reached by car.
