Thermo-polymer
Thermo-polymer construction refers to the use of thermoplastic polymers, which become malleable when heated and retain their strength when cooled, in the manufacture of various products, including surf fins. This process allows for precise and efficient production of fins with consistent construction.
In thermo-polymer construction, the polymer materials are first heated until they reach a flowable state. In this state, they can be easily poured or pressed into molds that dictate the exact geometry of the desired fin. After the pouring process, the material cools and hardens, giving the fin its final shape and strength.
